GermanyXReader: NOT WHAT YOU THINK

Summary: You come home to see Ludwig apparently cheating on you, but it's not what you think...

~~~~~~~~~~
"Ludwig! I'm home!" you called as you trudged up the stairs, expecting him to come out and greet you.
Seeing his door slightly ajar, you pushed it open, expecting to see him working. But instead you saw him curled up on one side of the bed while the getaround whore from two years ago was there giggling and poking him.
"Nein!" you heard him snap. But then he saw you.
"______! It's not what you think—"
You stared, too shocked to respond. Your mind was whirling.
Ludwig was cheating on you.
Ludwig was cheating on you.
The shock came too hard and you crumpled ungracefully to the ground. You vaguely heard, "Leave her be, Luddy. She just gets in the way—" then you blacked out.
Against the girl's wishes, Ludwig brought you to the hospital – more like carried you bridal style all the way.
A doctor came in to attend to you. "Hello sir. What happened to the young lady here?"
"She…" he hesitated, remembering the girl's words. 'Remember, if you tell…'
"I found her like this outside my room."
The doctor nodded. "You can wait here while we give her a check up." Some people rolled in a bed, put you on it, and rolled you away.
Before the doctor vanished through the door, Ludwig called him. "Um, doctor? I have a request."
The doctor nodded. "Yes?"
Ludwig said a few words.
Confused but ready to obey, the doctor turned to walk inside the room.
A few minutes later the doctor came out. "How is she?" Ludwig asked anxiously. The doctor replied cheerfully. "Nothing too serious. Just fainted from shock, that's all. She'll come round in a day or two. It's better if you keep her here for a week or so, though. And you are…"
"Ludwig, her- _____ _____'s…" he trailed off. You wouldn't be considering him as boyfriend anymore, so he went with "…friend."
The doctor smiled warmly at him. "Well, she'll be put on the fifth floor, Room 509 to herself."
"Danke." Ludwig smiled.
The next day he came to visit you. You weren't awake, but he was there all day. When your eyes started to flutter, he quickly left the room.
You woke up to a haze of white. "Where am I…" Then everything came flooding back to you. Ludwig. The (censored word here). A tear rolled down your cheek.
The doctor came in. "Come round, haven't you?" he smiled. "I'm your doctor. Call me Doc Rossington." You smiled. He seemed like a nice guy with his smile. "Nice to meet you.
"So _____. Do you remember what happened?"
You did, but it was too painful. You shook your head.
"Never mind then. If you're stable enough you'll be able to return home by the end of the week."
Home. Where it all began.
"Sure." You showed a weak smile. You mentally promised yourself that you would do ANYTHING to not go back.
For the next few days the staff taking care of you grew more and more concerned. You ate your breakfast, lunch and dinner, but in such small amounts it was just to barely survive. Your beautiful e/c eyes lost its shine and grew dull and lifeless. Every day if you weren't eating or sleeping you were sitting there, staring at nothing, doing nothing. You were like a programmed robot, slowly turning into just a shell of your former self. And the worst thing was that you had no visitors.
Doc Rossington walked past your room and caught you in one of your staring sessions. He stopped, looking at the originally bright smiling girl. His head lowered a little in sadness. 'Why did he tell me to keep it a secret?'
A few days later, Ludwig sat in his room. He was mentally debating whether he should visit you or not. 'She would be happy… but she should be really mad at me… Mein Gott, I shouldn't have done this… But—'
A phone ringing startled him out of his thoughts. He picked up.
"Hallo. Ludwig Beilschmidt here."
"Hello. It's Doc Rossington. I don't know if it concerns you, but it's about ______..."
The phone call ended a few minutes later. "Ja. Ja. I'll be here."
Ludwig slammed the phone on the receiver and stood up, throwing on his jacket and ran to the hospital. 'Oh mein Gott, if anything happens to her…'
He ran up the stairs all the way to the fifth floor. Training had paid off, and he didn't break a sweat at all. He threw open the door and to his horror saw the lifeless shell you had become.
"_______!" he exclaimed. You ignored him and continued staring.
He sat by your bed. "______!"
You continued to ignore him, staring at anywhere but him.
"________... I don't know if you want to listen… But if you are… she forced me to. She said if I didn't she'd do something terrible to you… And if I told…"
You heard all of it, stunned into shocked silence. He was doing it… for you? You used the chance to look at Ludwig who had fallen silent. You heard sniffling. Sniffling! The Ludwig Beilschmidt you knew never cried. But this…
You looked at him. He was hunched up, his shoulders shaking, his face buried in his hands. He was crying…
You put a tentative hand on his shoulder, tears streaming down your face as well. "Ludwig…"
He looked up as you fell onto his chest, sobbing. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I… wanted to protect you…"
He wrapped his strong hands around you soothingly, drawing you into a hug. You both started crying.
Suddenly a voice from the door made you look around. It was that (censored word here). (Insert least fave girl's name).
She smirked. "Oh, so you found out. So, Ludwig. Ready to get the consequences?"
"Nein! You will not hurt _____!" you heard Ludwig say in an extremely angry tone you had never heard before. As she was distracted, you picked up the speakerphone next to your bed, which was wired to Doc Rossington's headset.
"Doc Rossington. I can't explain now, but the girl who tried to blackmail Ludwig and made me end up here is in my room! She's guilty of blackmail. Hurry!"
==== A FEW YEARS LATER ====
A few years later, you smiled as you walked hand in hand with Ludwig down a cornflower field you had grown together. On both of your fourth fingers' was a pair of rings studded with a light cornflower blue gem. Ludwig was making them when the girl broke in and threatened him.
About the girl? Well, she was sentenced to fifteen years in jail and a fine. Not that you bothered. Because everything Ludwig did was for your good, even if it was not what you think.
Ludwig is apparently cheating on you... But of course the Luddy we know wouldn't do this! ^^
Wow I did this in one hour! I think I'm temporarily cured from my writers' block!
